It is commonplace if a woman who is pregnant is looking forward to the birth of her baby. Mothers of course always hope to give birth to healthy and normal babies.
However, unfortunately the hopes of a woman from India were dashed after giving birth to a premature baby who looked like a creature from another planet.
Reported by Buzznigeria, Wednesday (25/1/2017), the 28-year-old woman seemed unable to hide her disappointment. She even refuses to breastfeed her baby who looks like an alien, because of a genetic condition known as harlequin lchthyosis that the poor baby is experiencing.
Knowing that there was an unusual birth, local residents immediately rushed to the government-owned hospital in Patna Bihar district, East India, to ask for medical help.

Meanwhile, the baby's parents stated that they were traumatized by the birth and felt that the child had been cursed. When the baby was brought home, the mother refused to even hug and feed him.
"I don't know how this happened. My family and I are completely devastated. I am in shock because I really hope to be the mother of a healthy child, both a girl and a boy," said the woman, who did not want to be named.
Local doctors believe that if the baby's life does not last long. This is due to the fact that the non-organs are well developed and the probability of survival of such cases is only one in 10 million.
Harlequin lchthyosis is a very rare genetic disorder that causes the body to lack skin. Usually children with this disorder have bodies wrapped in a very hard 'armor', thick white skin, separated by deep gaps that can distort facial features.
